This was an exploration of shape and color theory. This is an 8 x 8 square, originally layered with 4 layers of colored paper, red, green, black, and white were chosen because they are complimentary colors, the layers were then cut out into shapes to create a contrasty design. I later replicated it on the computer for a cleaner image.
